DEPARTMENT SUMMARY
The Magistrate Court is a limited jurisdiction court that handles civil and criminal cases. The jurisdictional limit for civil cases is $15,000.00 or less. The Court handles filings for civil claims, dispossessory proceedings, garnishments, personal property foreclosures, FIFA’s, abandoned motor vehicles, abandoned mobile homes, county ordinance violations, deposit account fraud and pre-warrant applications. The Magistrate Court also issues arrest warrants.
The Court conducts public hearings for bonds and first appearance matters, pre-warrant applications, and any contested proceeding which falls within the jurisdiction of the Court.

Forms can be printed, completed, and taken or mailed to the Court for filing, or the Forms Generator can be used by completing an interview, printing the forms, and taking or mailing the forms to the Court for filing.
