Agriculture and Natural Resources Extension Agent   |   ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS
The Evans County 4H Extension Office is accepting applications for a full-time Extension Agent - Agriculture and Natural Resources. Applicants must be 21 years of age, have a Master's degree in a related field, have a valid Georgia Driver’s License and access to a reliable private vehicle for official duty travel. Reimbursement for business travel will be provided. Transportation of others including 4-H Youth and adult clientele is also a common and necessary function of the job. 4-H competitions, overnight camps, and other events are conducted at district and state levels and necessitate travel and transport of participants. This position will provide educational programming in the Agriculture and Natural Resources (ANR) area in Evans County providing educational opportunities in production agriculture, horticulture, and natural resources to a wide variety of audiences utilizing multiple teaching methods. Evans County has a rich history of an extraordinary Ag Row Crop program. Evans County’s highest value commodities are timber farms, farmland and rural community. County stakeholders rely heavily on the County Agent. Homeowners and Master Gardener Volunteers also depend on the Agent’s expertise to provide training and programming to the citizens of the community. Tended acres are covered with cotton, peanuts, tobacco, onions, corn, turf and pasture. This position requires frequent night meetings, some weekend work, and attendance at out-of-county meetings. Personal Property Appraiser   |   ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS
The Evans County Tax Assessor's Office is accepting applications for a full-time Personal Property Appraiser. This position is responsible for appraising personal property in order to assist with the development and documentation of the county tax digest. Applicants must be 21 years of age, have a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in a Tax Assessor's Office and have a valid Georgia Driver’s License. Applicants must have a knowledge of state laws pertaining to property taxation, personal property valuation procedures, Evans County geography and basic accounting practices as well as computer and office equipment knowledge, excellent communication skills both verbal and written and not possess a criminal record. Part-Time Deputy Clerk   |   ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS
The Evans County Magistrate Court is accepting applications for a Part-time Deputy Clerk. This is a part-time position so work hours are not to exceed twenty-nine hours per week. There are no benefits associated with this position. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and have a valid Georgia driver’s license. Applicants must possess extensive computer experience and skills, preferably Microsoft Office, have excellent communication skills and not possess a criminal record or have pending charges. Legal experience a plus. Applicants are subject to a criminal and traffic background investigation as well as drug testing. Primary duties will involve assisting the public, data entry, extensive computer work, processing of court documents, general bookkeeping related work, record keeping and general duties related to office management. Paramedic/EMT   |   ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS
Evans County is currently seeking a full time Paramedic / EMT. Paramedic is required to be licensed by the State of Georgia or National Registry. Paramedic must also be certified in ACLS, BLS. EMT-I must be licensed by the State of Georgia and have BLS. Both positions require possession of a valid driver’s license with solid history of safe driving issued by the State of Georgia.
